Daily Walking "I SPY" A Workout

Good Morning St. Clare Friends!

Well it looks like it's going to be a chilly day! πŸ˜‰ Our walk is going to have to get those muscles moving to stay warm!

Unfortunately the city playgrounds are now closed so it is more important than ever to think of creative ways to keep our children active and moving.

How it works: Commit to a minimum 30 minute walk around your neighborhood. Your workout will be dictated by what you "SPY" as you walk around.

The rules: It's simple! Everytime you "SPY" an item you must do the associated activity.

Minutes 0-10
  • Red Front Door: 20 jumping jacks (be careful of any icy patches)
  • Garden Decoration (gnome, sculpture): 10 squats
  • Green Car:10 walking lunges
  • Windchimes: 20 high knee marches
Minutes 11-20
  • Bench: 20 arm circles (10 each direction)
  • Canada Goose: hum the "chicken dance" and do 5 chicken dance movesπŸ”
  • White Car: hopscotch to the next car you see
  • Snowman: 10 tuck jumps (be careful of any icy patches)
Minutes 21-30

  • UPS/Purolator/Canada Post Truck: 10 reverse lunges (be sure to look over your shoulder)
  • Cat or Squirrel: 30 seconds running on the spot (be careful of any icy patches)
  • Christmas Lights: Say "Ho Ho Ho" while doing 5 burpees (be sure to wear gloves)
  • Stroller: 20 bum kicks while jogging on the spot
Repeat your favorites if you are out for longer!

Stay Active! Stay Strong! Stay Positive!

Kind Regards,
Sherri Anwender
