BOKS APRIL FITNESS CHALLENGE

APRIL is upon us St. Clare Friends! I would like to challenge you and your family to participate in the BOKS "April Fitness Challenge" (register at https://www.bokskids.ca/boks-at-home/)




The calendar has 3 daily challenges:

1) a BOKS Burst Movement Challenge (perfect to complete before beginning Google Classroom)

2) BOKS Live Class at noon (on BOKS Facebook page)

3) a BOKS Yoga & Mindfulness Activity (great way to end your day and relax)


Get Active! Stay Strong! Move your Body! Get Your Heart Pumping!

BOKS BURST: Clap for 10

If you're happy with who you are, clap your hands ...

1) Do 10 jumping jacks clapping your hands when they are above your head.
2) Do 10 lunges clapping your hands wen your hand are above your knees.
3) Do 10 burpees clapping your hands above your head when you jump up.
4) Do 10 crunches clapping your hands when they are above your knees.
5) Do 10 squats clapping your hands when you extend your legs.

This square breathing exercise is fast, fun, easy way to discover deep breathing and introduce intentional deep breath.
1) Begin in an easy seated position on the floor or in a chair.
2) Breathe in to a count of 4.
3) Hold breath for a count of 4.
4) Breath our for a count of 4.
5) Pause for count of 4.
6) Repeat!
