Soccer Dribble

Good Morning St. Clare Friends!

The sun is shining and and the forecast today looks great! Let's get outside and get those muscles moving!

Today we are going to practice our soccer dribbling! Grab a soccer ball or any firm utility ball and try these new skills out!


Key Skills of Soccer Dribbling:
- keep head and eyes up to watch where you are moving (only glancing down at the ball occasionally)
- touch the ball with the INSIDE of your shoes, for better control
- keep arms out for balance
- try dribbling with both feet to practice protecting the ball from an opponent

Game:
1) Begin getting comfortable with the ball by doing 10 "toe touches".


 2) Try moving the ball back and forth "between the insides of your feet" 10 times


3) Now that you are comfortable with the ball "dribble" the ball around for a few minutes.

4) Try weaving around the obstacles to practice protecting the ball.
